The Ian Potter Foundation Children’s Garden

Developed in 2002. Located in Royal Botanic Gardens, Observatory Precinct along Birdwood Avenue.

Due to the autumnal/winter conditions, the water features (spiral fountains) were switched off.

Not just a garden with plants, but also structures and pathways that reflect Melbourne's changing seasons.
Also includes a 'parterre' styled kitchen garden; all aiming to encourage, inspire, entice, and enrich children to keep green thoughts for their future.
The environment really is designed for smaller bodies, the pathways are more narrow, the pools aren't very deep, the canopies, rock bridges, and archways are quite low - tall heads beware!
