Located on the west side of the Shrine of Remembrance, the garden was dedicated in 1985 to recognise those who served in conflicts and peacekeeping operations post WWII (1934 - 1945).
The pool and the rippling effect of the water feature acts as a reminder of the jungles and rainforests where most of the post 1945 conflicts were fought.
The Shrine of Remembrance spent $114,549,274 (2009 - 10) on planting and equipment; in which majority of the funding coming from the government. (www.givewell.com.au)
